From A Delta's Heart: Foreward
From A Delta’s Heart looks at relationships from the perspective of a
vibrant, mature female with a rich ethnic heritage who shares her own
touching experiences as a daughter who found heroes at home and the
other “ordinary places,” a wife who could not make a marriage work no
matter how hard she tried, and a mother who profoundly proclaims her
devotion to her children. Through her poems, Ms. Moyé not only
celebrates who she is but pays tribute to those persons and percepts
that have made her the introspective, confident person she is.
The poems in the selection entitled, “When Loves Goes Wrong,” are
particularly insightful and bittersweet. Ms. Moyé concludes on an
especially hopeful note as she tells us that we must pick ourselves up
no matter how difficult life becomes because we are always “Arriving”
and “Things Happen” to all of us. From A Delta’s Heart is a moving and
inspiring aggregation of poems that captures the malfeasance and the
virtue of the human experience.
