The The Courage To Say It: Foreward
Not very often does one find an opportunity to reflect on one’s life
and find joy at the same time. In this delicious book of poetry, the
reader is mesmerized by the words that open up the mind and the heart to
what was, to what is, and to what might have been. The poems release the
soul to one’s innermost thoughts of destiny and intimacy. Linda Moyé is
a talented and brilliant writer who, through the pen, gives a striking
contrast when looking at the world. This is very evident in two of her
poems entitled, “On Loneliness” and “It’s a New Day.”
Just sit back and be guided down the path of hope and reality in the
powerful poems in the section, “Justice for All.” In the poem, “Am I Not
a Man,” Linda takes a difficult area and through the delicate use of
words portrays the essence of a man’s life full of courage and despair.
In the same section, she cleverly tantalizes the mind by demonstrating
the yearning for wisdom and understanding in the poem, “A Child Sees the
World.”
The section of poems, “Friends and Lovers,” inspires a true, deep
feeling as the words jump off the page. “First Love” and “Soul Mate” are
touching examples of love, intimacy and wonderment. All of this is
through the creative poems of a talented woman.
The concluding poems in this section are simply brilliant. “The Last
Time,” “Where Are You?” and “With Her” leave one thinking and wondering
about one’s own relationships, those still strong and those that are
gone. Through rich, touching, insightful and colorful use of poetry,
Linda truly has The Courage to Say It. |
